a5c7b9f00b Three freedom fighters attack a large corporation to prevent a future apocalypse. Presentedan attraction at the Universal Theme Park (Summer 1996), T2:3-D invites the audience to a presentation of future technology by the Cyberdyne Corporation; creators of the present T-800 Terminators and future creator of Skynet. Unfortunately, half-way through the presentation, they are sabotaged (live) by Sarah and John Connor, who inform us of the future doom Cyberdyne will unknowingly bring to the world. The audience is soon joined by the T-1000wellArnold&#39;s T-800 on stage via motorcycle. The T-101 grabs John and exits the stage via a 3-D time portal and quickly pursued by the T-1000. From there it is all 3-D movie magic in which the T-8000 and John Connor must defeat Skynet which is guarded by the powerful T-1M (T-One Million). When I first heard about this I couldn&#39;t wait to see it. In the queue the videos explaining how great Skynet was going to be just made me lose myself in the story, I kept thinking &quot;Just you wait&quot;.<br/><br/>It all went downhill after that. The story was badly written and full of flaws. The 3D element proved to hinder more than helpit had caused the films produces to invent scenes that were clearly there just so the FX guys could show what they could do.. and the T one million, you have to be kidding. There have been a number of movie and TV-based theme park rides over the years (your Back to the Future, Miami Vice, etc), butproduction values go, I don&#39;t think any of them can touch &quot;Battle Across Time&quot;. It&#39;s king of the hill. The principal cast is here, it&#39;s got time travel and it&#39;s engineered to use all of the theater. And that 3D . . . it puts to shame what we get these days in cineplexes. There&#39;s gunfire, big robots, and smoke effects that bring the action dangerously close to your face. It&#39;s a big effects extravaganza and totally stands the test of time. If James Cameron&#39;s a showman, he can proudly use thisExhibit A.<br/><br/>Also, it does a killer job of putting you right in the world of T2.<br/><br/>8/10
